This top Peak District restaurant will deliver a full Valentine's Day tasting menu anywhere in the UK

But one of the region’s most acclaimed kitchens is offering the next best thing.
Fischer's Baslow Hall – which had a Michelin star for 25 years until 2019 – is serving up a premium five-course tasting menu for February 14, allowing customers to enjoy a high-quality romantic meal at home.

Hide AdThe menu has been put together by head chef Nathan Wall and his team, and features homemade oat soda bread, soy-glazed cucumber, onion and whey, lobster tail, beef sirloin and a chocolate dessert, as well as coffee and petit fours.
The full menu, plus a half bottle of champagne, costs £145 for two. There’s an optional flight of tasting wines priced £55, while a selection of cheeses for two is available as well, costing £30.
Meals are available for collection on February 13 from the restaurant, or Fischer’s will deliver across the UK by courier on February 12 – delivery charges apply.

“Instructions for storage and cooking will be provided and explained by our team on collection.

A range of prepared meals is also available, created by executive chef Max Fischer. These include beef bourguignon, chilli con carne, fish pie, root vegetable wellington and venison casserole.
Max’s meals are also stocked in the upmarket White’s Spar at Calver, close to Baslow Hall, among them Sunday lunches which can be collected in store on Saturdays.
Despite losing its star Fischer’s is still listed in the Michelin Guide and has three AA rosettes, awarded to ‘outstanding restaurants’. The venue opened at Baslow Hall in 1989.
