Blind date with a book at Chesterfield’s Vicar Lane shopping centre
Busy shoppers in Chesterfield can rest their weary legs and enjoy a blind date with a book.
From Monday, September 6, which is National Read a Book Day, people heading to St James Square in Vicar Lane Shopping Centre will find a ‘Reading Zone’, complete with beanbags and deckchairs.
Locals can read the brief synopsis on the wrapped books and pick one that takes their fancy!
The Blind Date with a Book initiative runs for a week and has been organised in conjunction with The Works and Waterstones.
