Former The Beautiful South star set for Sheffield show with new band Sunbirds

Dave Hemingway a founder member of The Beautiful South – famous for songs such as A Little Time, Perfect 10 and Song for Whoever, featuring the pencil case line – returns with his new band Sunbirds.
Sunbirds – singer Dave, guitarist Phil Barton, violinist/singer Laura Wilcockson and drummer Marc Parnell – released their debut album, Cool To Be Kind, in November 2020.

Hide AdDave says: “Although a lot of the songs have an Americana feel, they’re still about life in England.
“You’re going to feel a bit daft singing about pick-up trucks and low down honky-tonks when you live in Yorkshire.”
Phil says: “We’re just enjoying ourselves and expressing whatever we want whether it’s about love, longing, depression or Gary Lineker’s crisp adverts."
