Wilson: '˜Potentially, Ricky German could be very good'
The Chesterfield boss doesn’t get too excited or too downbeat when discussing his players with the press and has admitted he doesn’t like to put too much pressure on youngsters.
So Wilson’s appraisal of 17-year-old striker German perhaps suggests the Spireites could have a rough diamond on their hands.

German partnered Ched Evans up front and again showcased the strength seen in his recent cameo roles, knocking experienced defenders out of his way.
Wilson said: “He’s got a young body but he’s got a man in it.
“He just lacks the experience and game time at league level.

“He’s let experienced centre-backs know that he’s there. It bodes well for the future for him.”
The Town boss likes the fact that young players are sometimes able to go out and perform, almost ignorant to the pressure everyone else expects them to feel.
Wilson said: “They don’t hold any fear, they just want to go and enjoy it.

“He’s going to make wrong decisions more than not but we can keep helping him in the areas he needs to work on.”
