Town draw Luton in Checkatrade Trophy and Anderson is devastated to be suspended
Chesterfield were drawn away to the Hatters after Tuesday’s 2-0 victory at Rochdale saw them progress to the last 16.
The Spireites are three games from Wembley but having been sent off for what presumably will be construed as violent conduct, there’s every chance Anderson won’t be available until the final should his side make it.

Burnley boy Anderson says it was all a misunderstanding.
“I was trying to explain to the ref how the striker tackled me, I wasn’t too happy with it so I was trying to show the ref and unfortunately he thinks I’ve gone to kick out at the striker and he’s sent me off,” he said.
“It’s happened now, there’s nothing I can do about it. There was no intention there at all to kick him.
“I was gutted, felt like I let the lads down a little bit.”
Anderson, on loan fromt he Clarets for the second time at the Proact, dreams of Wembley like every other player – even if that coveted appearance comes in a competition like the Checkatrade Trophy.

“It’s massive, it’s Wembley, it’s where every young boy dreams of playing and we’re three games away,” he said.
“I’m devastated about it but I have to keep moving forward.
“I am upset but now I have to focus on Saturday and put in a good performance.”
