Ritchie Humphreys is star guest at Sunday League awards event
Humphreys, who is also chairman of the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA), gave a talk to everyone at the event, which was held at Chesterfield’s Proaact Stadium. The 38-year-old spoke of his career, which began at Sheffield Wednesday and also included almost 500 appearances for Hartlepool United. Humphreys, who helped Chesterfield to the League Two title in 2014, told of his pride at leading the PFA for the last five years and gave an insight into the organisation’s work.
The winners of all the league’s divisions and cups were represeneted at the event and received trophies. The First Division champions were Hasland Devonshire, who won 13 of their 14 matches, while Division Two went to FC United of Bolsover and Division Three to Newbold.

Hide AdThe Fourth Division champions were Crown Killamarsh and the winners of Divisions Five, Six and Seven were unbeaten Renishaw Rangers, Whitecotes Wanderers and Darley Dale Red Star respectively. The Alma Cup was lifted by FC United of Bolsover, while the Chatsworth Cup was won by Britannia Rose and the Hutson Cup by Furnace Hill Hurricanes.
