Despite controlling large periods of the game, Town could not break the deadlock and had to settle for a point.
With the Blues on top in the first half, Joe Rowley suffered a hamstring injury and had to go off and is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The result leaves Chesterfield in 13th, just two points off the play-offs.
Here are Liam Norcliffe’s player ratings from the game...
1. Adam Przybek 7
A first clean sheet on his second start for Town since signing on loan. He did not have much, if anything, to do in terms of saves. There was one nervy moment in the first half where the ball ran through his legs but he eventually managed to dive on it with Tshimanga in chase. Photo: Phil Tooley
2. George Carline 7
Carline provided Town with a good attacking option in the second half. He got down the right a few times and delivered at least one excellent cross that was asking to be turned in. As always, he was also very good in the air. Photo: Phil Tooley
3. Will Evans 8
Aggressive, strong in the tackle and in the air. A dominant performance from the skipper. Photo: Phil Tooley
4. Haydn Hollis 9
Keeps going from strength-to-strength. Dominant in the air, good in possession and kept Boreham top scorer Tshimanga quiet. Man of the match. Photo: Phil Tooley
