Ex Worksop Town boss applies for Belper job after Palmer resigns
Palmer was appointed in October 2015 and led Belper to a 10th-place finish in the Evo-Stik Division One South last season.

Hide AdShaw is believed to have already expressed an interest in the position.
Worksop Town announced Shaw’s departure in February with a two-line statement that read: “As from 17th February 2017 Mark Shaw is no longer employed by Worksop Town Football Club. The club has no further comment on the matter.”
The former Retford United, Sheffield FC, Lincoln United and Shirebrook boss guided Worksop to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League play-offs in his first season in charge, with a side that scored 120 league goals in the process.

Hide AdAFC Fylde, who have just won promotion to the National League, were the side to beat Tigers in the play-off semi-final.
When Worksop’s financial backer pulled his funding that summer the club took a voluntary two-division relegation and Shaw’s new-look side finished second in the NCEL Premier table, four points behind promoted Shaw Lane Aquaforce.
The following season they finished fourth.
