What do people's Google searches say about Derbyshire?
It's amazing what can come up if you Google yourself, but another popular trend has been googling areas to find out what people think about them.
There has been a fashion for years to draw up 'autocomplete maps', where you use Google's search function to reveal what people have been searching about your area, giving a rough idea of people's ideas, stereotypes and assumptions they make about your hometown, county or country. A recent map of Europe labelled by the UK's Google results, for instance, branded the French as anti-Semitic, Lithuanians as basketball lovers and pondered why so many Slovenians wore headphones. For England, the top questions asked are why we have so many accents, why we drive on the left and why we want to leave the EU.
