39 flood warnings still in place across Derbyshire as Storm Christoph causes havoc

Homes and businesses in Bakewell and Matlock have flooded, with one Wye Bank resident claiming it is the "worst in more than 40 years".
Buxton Mountain Rescue Team were on standby in Bakewell overnight for flood rescue and said nobody needed to be evacuated from their home.

Hide AdThe only incident reported to them was a motorist stranded in flood water who climbed on to the roof of his car before paddling to safety.
Water levels on the River Derwent at Matlock peaked at 3.89 metres at 6.30am this morning but continue to fall.
Water levels on the River Wye at Ashford in the Water have also dropped.
Matlock town centre has been closed because of flooding, however.
