Walker rescued after falling 'significant distance' in Matlock Bath

The Derby Mountain Rescue Team arrived at the scene in the afternoon on Saturday, May 1 after they were notified that a casualty had fallen.
The victim was treated by East Midlands Ambulance Service Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and taken to Queen’s Medical Centre hospital.

Hide AdA second casualty was also found stranded on a steep, scree slope near High Tor.
The walker, who had no injuries, was helped back to safety by mountain rescuers using a rope system to prevent a fall.
Officers from Matlock, Cromford, Wirksworth and Darley Dale Police SNT also assisted in the safety operation.
In a post on Facebook, the force wrote: “Another teamwork day in Matlock Bath on Saturday between us, our colleagues from response and rural crime, East Midlands Ambulance and their community response team, Derbyshire mountain rescue and the air ambulance.”
