Traffic suffers delays after collision at notorious Chesterfield roundabout
The collision involved a heavy goods vehicle and a van at the junction leading into the northbound A617 towards Lordsmill roundabout and Chesterfield town centre.
Traffic began to build-up with delays just before 7.30am but began to clear after the HGV was safely moved about 7.45am.

Hide AdPolice helped to control traffic before the HGV could be safely moved but the van which had come to rest along one of the lanes at the entrance to the A617 northbound dual carriageway has yet to be moved.
Staff at the nearby Derbyshire Times office, on Spire Walk, confirmed there have previously been near-misses and minor collisions at the same junction.
