Hide AdIn April, 11 anti-fracking protesters from the Reclaim the Power group were arrested for alleged public order offences after they blocked the entrance to the firm and dropped banners from the drill rig and main gate.
The campaigners said they targeted PR Marriott because of its links with fracking company, Cuadrilla, and their storage of the proposed fracking rig for use in Lancashire.
At the demonstration in April, protester Charlie Holland, said: “We are here today in solidarity with anti-fracking protesters in Lancashire where Cuadrilla wants to drill 800 wells in the region alone. We’re asking Marriott to do the decent thing and step away from fracking before it devastates the region.”
A spokesman for Derbyshire Constabulary said: “No arrests were made. The protestors dispersed from the site earlier this afternoon.”
PR Marriott was asked to comment but was unavailable.
