Developers are seeking planning permission to transform the single-storey building at the junction of Town End and Welbeck Road.
The plans will now be decided upon by planning chiefs at Bolsover District Council.

"As the building is relatively small a four-metre extension will be constructed to the rear of the property to cater for the kitchen, store room and disabled WC.
“A small porch will be added to the front of the property and large powder coated aluminium windows will also be installed.
“Every effort has been made in this proposal to meet the planning policies of the council.

Planning documents say the site will cater for six car parking spaces and one disabled space.
Derbyshire County Council’s highways department has asked for more information to determine whether enough off-street parking is provided.
One nearby resident, Alan Coombs, has also written to planners because of his concerns about traffic to the proposed restaurant.

Mr Coombs also questioned why the restaurant was planned for Town End despite ‘an abundance of empty restaurant premises and free car parks’ closer to Bolsover town centre.
