Inquest opens into death of motorcyclist after crash near Buxton

Police attended the A515 near Biggin at around 11am on Wednesday after receiving reports of a collision involving a black Kawasaki motorbike and a white Citroen Relay van.
The rider of the motorbike, Wayne Poxon, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Hide AdMr Poxon’s inquest was opened at Chesterfield Coroner’s Court on Friday.
The brief hearing was told he was 51-years-old, married, a window fitter and lived in Parkway in the Chellaston area of Derby.
Coroner Tanyka Rawden said: “Further enquiries are being made into Mr Poxon’s death.
“I’d like to extend my sincere condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time.”
She adjourned the inquest until September 30.
