Chesterfield triplets born weighing less than 2lbs each set to celebrate turning 21
Chloe, Condie and Courtney Hall battled for their lives and spent months in and out of hospital after they were born 11 weeks premature.
The trio, from North Crescent, Duckmanton, weighed less than 2lbs each when their mum Amanda gave birth by emergency caesarean on April 6, 2000, and doctors feared they might not survive.

Amanda, 46, said: “We are very proud parents of all three of them. We wouldn’t ask for three better children.
"It’s nice to see them achieve and each become their own people. They’ve all got their own personalities and like to do different things.”
Amanda and her husband James, 42, who already had a son, John, were told they were having triplets in December 1999.

Speaking to the paper in 2002, just before their second birthdays, Amanda said: “They’ve reached two years old and to say they shouldn’t be here it's quite amazing.”
Now, the sisters are forging their own paths in life and, although different in number of ways, they all have a special bond according to Amanda.
Condie is working at Peak Pharmacy in Inkersall where she has recently qualified as counter assistant, Chloe is at Therapy Lounge in Hasland working as a beauty therapist and Courtney – who has cerebral palsy and epilepsy – has a personal assistant and enjoys getting out and about, something she has still managed to do during the pandemic.

They will be celebrating their 21st birthdays with their immediate family who are planning a surprise at their home.
But, it is hoped once Covid restrictions ease and things begin to reopen that the girls can celebrate further as any other 21-year-old would.
