Chesterfield care home staff in the running for three top awards
Brookholme Care Home is in the running for a trio of Great British Care Awards, which recognise excellence across the care sector and pay tribute to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding quality within their field of work.
The nominees at Brookholme Care Home include Kathy Holden and Dawn Wootton for the ‘Care Home Activities Organiser’ award, and Lauren Redman for the ‘Palliative Care’ award.

Hide AdThe whole Brookholme Care Home team has been nominated for the ‘Putting People First’ award.
Donna Redman, care home manager at Brookholme, said: “I feel humbled and honoured that Brookholme has been nominated for three awards.
"We have a fantastic team here, with everyone doing all they can to support positive outcomes for our residents.
"These nominations recognise the hard work that the team does every day.”

Hide AdAs part of the nominations, the entire team at Brookholme has been singled out as exceptional thanks to their desire to do all they can to enhance the lives of all who spend time there – never more so that during the coronavirus pandemic.
Manager Donna added: “The team has focused on keeping residents entertained, and their minds active, while maintaining their safety.
“While the home has remained closed to visitors, the care team has continually thought outside of the box to find ways for residents to remain active and to socialise together at a safe distance.”
The finalists of The Great British Care Awards will attend a regional gala dinner later in the year when they will learn if they have made it through to the national finals.
