New apprenticeship opportunities in Derbyshire

Apprenticeships in health and social care - based in Chapel-en-le-Frith and New Mills - are being offered by Derbyshire County Council.

The positions are among 11 being advertised by the authority, with other areas including recycling promotions (customer service) and business administration.

Cllr Brian Ridgway, Cabinet Member for Council Services, said: “We are doing all we can to find opportunities for young people in this difficult climate.

“We’re now looking for a further 11 apprentices.

“An apprenticeship offers a great way into the world of work and I’d urge all young people to take a look at what we have to offer.”

The apprenticeships are available in: health and social care - Bolsover, Ilkeston, Sandiacre, Chapel-en-le-Frith, New Mills, Swadlincote; recycling promotions - Darley Dale; roadworkers - Chesterfield; business services assistants - Matlock, Clay Cross.

Applications close on September 21 and the apprenticeships are due to start in October or November.
