Have your say on children’s centres
Derbyshire County Council is asking locals for their views on a number of proposals, including closing up to seven centres across the county, as part of a plan to save £1.1 million.
Options being considered include: charging parents for using children’s centres; charging organisations for using the buildings; reducing staffing levels; closing some centres and only offering services which are not already available elsewhere through the voluntary, community and independent sector.
