Financial advisor to go on trial accused of stealing £250,000 from Matlock charity
Paul Cooper, 56, of Priory Road, Sheffield, pleaded not guilty to fraud when he appeared at Derby Crown Court today (Thursday).
Cooper was charged with transferring £251,754.52 from a CAB account into his own bank account between October 2012 and August 2014.

Hide AdDuring this period Cooper was working in the charity’s Matlock office, in Steep Turnpike.
The court heard Cooper’s former colleagues at the CAB will be called to give evidence, as well as one of his associates.
Cooper was bailed until his trial, which is due to start on the week commencing December 14.
