Fearless 4x4 drivers hit the road to help the public
Peak 4x4 Response is a network of volunteers – with well maintained and well equipped four wheel drive vehicles – who provide “go anywhere” transport when normal methods are stretched to the limit.
Volunteer Geoff Williams, of Stanton-in-Peak, explained: “Everybody receives a list of vital staff who need to get to work and it’s up to the individual driver to choose the jobs they want.”

“The 4x4 community get such a bad press at times but people don’t always know that, at times like this, we provide a vital service to the public,” said Geoff.
“To be honest, we all love volunteering for Peak 4x4 Response as it gives us an opportunity to help people – and an excuse to get out in the snow.”
