Officers said they had received several tips from members of the public that off-road motorbikes were being used on the Meden trail, a disused railway track which now contains areas of grassland and woodland in Mansfield and surrounding fields.
In a post to Facebook, Shirebrook Police warned perpetrators that ‘not only is this illegal and anti-social it is also causing significant damage to the trail which is protected and the surrounding farmer’s property’.
