The court heard that Twibey, of Manor Court Road, had entered into an extramarital affair with another woman and, while his wife had initially said she would take him back if he ended it, she was unable to forgive him and ended the relationship.
The court heard that Twibey had turned up in the early hours of the morning on December 19 last year and caused damage to the window and tyre and then later turned up at the hotel where his former partner works.
He then jumped over the reception desk and grabbed her by the arm, pulling her into the carpark, where he became aggressive before trying to kiss her.
