Angry Derbyshire man 'threw partner's make-up out of window' during argument

Kyle Phillips, 24, of Baker Street, Creswell, admitted criminal damage when he appeared before Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 5.
Prosecuting, Emma Heath Tilford, said that the incident had happened on November 12 at Model Village in Creswell.

Hide Ad“They were in a relationship of around four years and have a son who was approximately five-months old at the time of the offence,” she said.
“It’s described by a third party as a little off and on and Mr Phillips appears to have got angry about something. There were a pair of hair straighteners on the floor which he stamped on. She left the house and when she got back a lot of her makeup had been thrown outside.
“He told police that he had snapped the straighteners because he was angry, and threw her make-up out of the window because he had been angry.”
She added that the straighteners were worth around £100.
Defending, John Wilford said: “The defendant was unemployed at the time and they were together for 24-hours a day in the home and things were quite tense.

Hide Ad“They are communicating over contact with the child but they are not in a relationship anymore but they are co-operating over the child.”
Phillips was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
