Posh train trip for Derbyshire people aboard the iconic Northern Belle
The Northern Belle is getting back on track after lockdown on May 22, giving Derbyshire passengers the opportunity to settle back in the 1930s-style carriages and soak up the sights.
Only 200 passengers will be welcomed aboard as the normal capacity has had to be halved to maintain social distancing requirements.

Hide AdA spokesman said: “The safety of everybody on board – passengers and staff – is paramount. So we have been forced to reduce the train capacity drastically.
"But it’s great to be back on track again after the lockdown.
"It should be a blooming lovely day out for those passengers who go to the flower show, while there is always plenty to do and see in the splendid city of York.”
Once part of the iconic Orient Express group, the Northern Belle recently featured on Channel 5’s World's Most Scenic Railways programme. Legendary actor Bill Nighy enjoyed a steam-hauled journey through the Yorkshire Dales, telling viewers: “Our plush tour has been the experience of a lifetime.”

Hide AdPassengers will board the train over a red carpet at Derby at 8.40am on May 22 and be handed a Bellini cocktail After free time in York or Harrogate they will return to a champagne reception followed by a five-course dinner with wine served on the journey home. The train is scheduled to arrive back at Derby at 9.50pm.
