The first known priest for the village was appointed in 1193 in a former church. Work on the current church began in the 1320s and was completed by 1400 and with its grand design and large windows it was given the fond name of the Cathedral in the Peak.
Our archive doesn’t go back to the 1300s but here are some great pictures of Tideswell church from the 1990s onwards so take a look and see who you can spot.
