On Tuesday, a further 1,631 coronavirus deaths were recorded, taking the total number of people who had died within 28 days of a positive test to 100,162.
The total number of deaths registered across Derbyshire county and Derby city where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate currently stands at 1,979 – leaving many thousands of families, friends and people in our communities bereaved.
Since the pandemic was declared in March last year, several families have chosen to speak to the Derbyshire Times to pay tribute to relatives who have passed away – and in this article we remember them.
We know there are many more not featured here and our thoughts are with every single person who has lost a loved one during the pandemic.
