Ashbourne Animal Welfare will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a birthday party and open day.
Visitors are invited to take part in a fun dog show, including a best biscuit catcher competition, a parade of re-homed dogs, a mobile dog washing centre, and microchipping for a reduced rate of £10. Plus stalls, tours of 'the ark', and face painting.
The open day will mark 20 years of rescuing and rehoming cats and dogs from 'The Ark', where the charity is based, on Wyaston Road.
It will take place on Sunday, August 3, from 11am until 4pm.
Admission is free.
