In a statement, the Hope Valley swimming pool said they are one of just five open-air pools in the country set to open this weekend, as swimmers are allowed to visit outdoor pools tomorrow (Saturday, July 18) in the next stage of the government lifting coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
Hathersage Pool revealed they sold all of their 1,800 entry tickets for the next week within one hour as people are keen to return to public pools for the first time since lockdown.

The pool in the Peak District shared that they were ‘surprised’ to sell all of their sessions for the next 7 days in such a short space of time, but encouraged those who missed out to try again as they expect sales to ‘slow’ once indoor pools are given the green light.
In a Facebook post, Hathersage Pool said: “Wow! All 1800 tickets sold within 1 hour!
“We expected there to be huge demand for our first week of opening but to sell all sessions for the next week in just 1 hour surprised us.

"Many outdoor pools remain closed and as far as we are aware (correct us if we are wrong) we are 1 of only 5 pools in the country that are open.”
Customers can buy advance tickets to the open air pool at 6am each morning, where they can purchase a session for the week ahead.
The outdoor pool urged visitors to check if the ticket platform shows available tickets for a session, as they are usually spectator only tickets.
