WIN: tickets to Verdi opera in Buxton
The Advertiser has a pair of tickets up for grabs to the Ellen Kent production on Sunday March 9 at Buxton Opera House, plus a print (pictured below) of Ralph Steadman’s painting of a Nabucco scene.
Verdi’s haunting and melodic chorus of the Hebrew slaves follows the plight of the Hebrews as they are forced from their homeland into exile by the Babylonian King Nabucco. The powerful tale is laced with revenge, destruction and jealousy.

Hide AdStarring international guest soloists and the celebrated Chisinau National Opera Chorus, the spectacular traditionally-staged production also features magnificent sets and costumes with amazing lighting and stage effects.
The opera is sung in Italian with English surtitles.
