Treats galore in new season
The season begins on November 15 at Southwell Minster, as part of the Trent To Trenches World War One commemoration.
The concert features Dona Nobis Pacem, Vaughan Williams’s plea for peace, and Elgar’s The Spirit Of England, written during the war.

Hide AdOn December 6, the oratorio Messiah starts the choir’s Christmas performances, closely followed by two carol concerts for all the family.
The latest Come and Sing event is on February 28, where pieces by Parry and Vaughan Williams will be studied. In March, Nottingham’s Albert Hall is the venue to hear Mozart’s Mass in C minor, and a Psalm by Mendelssohn.
The season ends at Southwell Minster with works by Vierne, Gjeilo, and Tavener.
