He added: “With quite a high body count, I often have to break the news to friends and family they might be next.”
The storyline has enough twists and turns to keep anybody gripped.
For the local reader, there is also great fun in trying to identify some of the familiar places which feature throughout the book, all of which have had subtle name changes.

There is even a local newspaper, the Micklock Mercury, keeping track of Gammon’s attempts to crack his latest case.
Colin has also written supernatural and romantic stories. Details of all his work can be found at www.colingaltrey.co.uk.
