Car stopped on M1 after passenger was caught carrying a baby in their arms

A car which had six passengers, including a baby in the arms of a passenger, was stopped by Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit.

The car, which was designed for five people, was stopped on the M1.

A tweet from @DerbyshireRPU said: “M1. Car designed for five people carrying six people. The sixth, a baby in the arms of one of the passengers.

"Driver said he was driving carefully so should be okay. No evidence of a driving licence either. Reported and car #Seized. #OpDerbyshire #ProtectingTheVulnerable.”
