Show must go on for Chesterfield’s charity fundraisers Community Players
The north Derbyshire group, which has raised more than £100,000 for good causes through annual shows, is hoping to stage a panto in 2022 after the pandemic scuppered this year’s production.
Members are hoping to be able to resume rehearsals in the autumn which will enable them to perform at Hasland Playhouse early next year.

Several members took part in a two-hour danceathon virtually over three households and raised more than £1400 thanks to family, friends, the public and a generous donation from Derbyshire Health United who have been loyal supporters of the Community Players for many years.
