DON’T BE LATE
Southwell 3.25 WIN
Champion jockey Tony McCoy hopes to maintain his prolific record at Southwell this afternoon when his primary task will be to help this five-year-old son of emerging sire Court Cave through his hurdling debut. There’s every chance it will be a winning one for the Jonjo O’Neill-trained, JP McManus-owned gelding on the evidence of his persuasive first start in a Bumper at Warwick in December. Under a kind ride, he chased home a decent, more experienced winner, and the smooth way he travelled is sure to help him round the sharp and speedy Nottinghamshire track today. During the bad weather last month, Jonjo kept him ticking over in a Bumper-for-jumpers race at Wolverhampton, where he finished a respectable third, 20 lengths clear of the rest.
