Colin Davenport takes the win for Matlock AC
He won the race, which started at Highashes Lane, Chesterfield, with 31 miles of off-road running on paths and trails in the Amber Valley, in 4 hour 41 mins.
It is a figure of eight circuit with plenty of climbs and expansive views as well as woodland trails, with 27 starters and 25 finishers and all taking place in Covid safe manner.

Hide AdA couple of club members made the short journey to run the Carsington 7+ in sunny but breezy conditions on Sunday.
The course was a clockwise 7.5 mile loop of the slightly undulating but familiar track around the reservoir, starting close to the visitor centre.
Impressive Covid-19 safety measures included race numbers being posted out to competitors in advance accompanied by tailored suggested arrival and start times.
The start was socially distanced and staggered with runners set off in 2 metre socially distanced groups at 30 second intervals.

Hide AdFloor markers leading up to the start ensured 2 metre distancing and no congestion. Using competitors predicted pace the quicker runners were started first to reduce overtaking.
Chip timers on race numbers ensured nobody was disadvantaged by the start arrangements.
The winner was Daniel Bagley in 41:06, first lady Kelly Butler 46:12. Tom Woodhouse was the first MAC back in 57:22, 13th MV40 and 107th overall. Sarah Walton 1:13:44, 8th FV50 and 293rd overall. 426 runners.
