Former Port Vale midfielder confirms Chesterfield departure

The midfielder has not played for the Spireites for a year due to injury. His last outing was against Torquay United on May 7, 2022.
He had a knee operation last summer and was expected to return around January time but sadly he suffered setbacks along the way and missed the whole of the 2022/2023 campaign.

Hide AdConfirming his departure, he posted on Twitter: “All the very best to @ChesterfieldFC. Very difficult season for me personally but nearly the perfect one for the club. Thanks to all the fans of this great club, I wish you every success in the future.”
Town signed Oyeleke in April 2021, on a two-year deal, from Port Vale for an undisclosed fee.
His highlights include helping the club make the play-offs in the 2020/2021 season and reaching the third round of the FA Cup against Chelsea, a club he was at when he was a youngster.
In total he made 40 appearances for Town, scoring twice.
He becomes the third player to confirm they are leaving, after Jack Clarke and Paul McCallum also announced their departures on social media this week.
