Woman, 66, rescued after Peak District fall
Twenty–eight members from both the Buxton and Edale Mountain Rescue Teams attended Hollins Farm, Edale, on Saturday afternoon (December 6).
The East Midlands Ambulance Service had requested assistance following reports of a 66–year–old woman from Barnsley having suffered a suspected broken arm while descending from Hollins Cross with her family.

Hide AdShe had slipped on the muddy track, falling on her outstretched arm.
The casualty was given pain relief and her arm was splintered on site before being placed onto a mountain rescue stretcher and carried to the roadside where an ambulance was waiting.
She was then transferred to a Sheffield Northern General Hospital for further treatment.
