"We refused to give up on him. Brian had another bad day yesterday and was on 100% oxygen but still the consultants and nurses at the Royal fought hard and did everything they could and he managed to improve.
"It's all very difficult at the moment..but I can't thank enough the outpouring support and prayers we have been getting for Brian.
"He is still critical but I believe we will bring him home," she said.

Sarah said Brian has been working on renovating their home by making an extension to their kitchen, building stairs to the bedroom and redoing the bathroom and flooring, which remain half furnished.
"But our priority is to get the bedroom done for Brian so he can have a safe, clean environment for him to recover in," she said.
She added that none of them suffers from any underlying health issues and warns others of the dangers of the virus.
