Council comments on project to create steps linking Chesterfield retail parks
and live on Freeview channel 276
It is hoped the steps will eventually link Ravenside Retail Park and Lordsmill Retail Park.

Building work had been due to begin in 2017.
Derbyshire County Council (DCC) previously commented on the proposal, saying land ownership issues were causing delays.
The cost of the work was £25,000, DCC added.

Hide AdWhen the Derbyshire Times contacted DCC recently for an update on the project, the authority told us we needed to get in touch with Chesterfield Borough Council (CBC).
A CBC spokesperson said: “The land where these steps are being proposed is owned by the developer.
“We are in conversation with them to try and take over control of the site but there are still some issues to resolve."
Currently, some people gain access to the retail parks by going up and down a steep, dangerous embankment.
Fencing was put up to prevent this.
