Chesterfield wedding business accused of ‘creating hell’ for couples after becoming insolvent
Issuing a statement on its website, Frilys Boutique advised it would no longer be trading after filing for insolvency on September 24.
The firm, based on Calow Brook Drive in Hasland, said the decision is “strictly financial” as it extended its “sincerest apologies” to customers – many of whom have already paid balances towards their big day.
The firm's Facebook account has also been closed down.

"This insolvency was filed as of the 24th September 2021 with immediate effect. This is a legal process that can take up to 5 weeks to appear on companies house.

“This is an incredibly difficult time for the customers and the Frily's Team and we apologise extensively."
It appears many customers have been left in the lurch by the announcement, with claims the firm is no longer contactable.
Writing on Trustpilot, one disgruntled customer said: “Disgusting, people like us luckily just paid deposits and we can afford to recover. You gave no warning and must have known about this for months. Congratulations on creating hell for so many people. I hope you don't intend to create a new company!”

A third claimed: “They are in liquidation and thousands of customers left without services even though fully paid!! No correspondence from the company at all.”
