Ten dogs in the care of Chesterfield RSPCA will melt the hearts of people that they meet on their search for forever homes.
Each has a back story of how they came to the shelter, from neglect to owners who were no longer able to look after them.
They all share on thing in common – a dedicated team of rescue workers at the charity’s Spital Lane base who are looking after their daily needs while trying to find each of them an owner who will continue to care for them.
Cassy is a two-year-Belgian Shepherd who is a bright spark, always on the go and loves going for walks and playing games. She would prefer an adult-only household that is quiet as she gets scared around loud noises and to be the only animal in the home. Photo: Chesterfield and North Derbyshire RSPCA
Dottie is a seven-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a docile temperament. She is sweet, kind and full of love. Photo: AI-Generated with Google/Chesterfield and North Derbyshire RSPCA
Dora, a four-year-old Doberman Pinscher, is a large and gentle girl who is very clever. She is occasionally anxious and shy around new things but is yearning to be loved after a miserable past living in a wretched place. Dora could live with children aged 11 to 15 years but would prefer to be the only animal in the home. Photo: Chesterfield and North Derbyshire RSPCA
Rocky is a four-year-old Border Collie who is warm, bright, attentive and playful. He is almost house trained, knows lots of basic commands and can walk nicely on a lead. Rocky could live with children of 11-15 years but would prefer to be the only animal in the home. Photo: Chesterfield and North Derbyshire RSPCA
