Hotter than Lanzarote in Derbyshire as heatwave causes temperatures to soar to 30°C this Friday

Friday is set to be the hottest day of the year, with temperatures predicted to climb to a staggering 30°C across Derbyshire in a short burst of summer weather.
This means people across the region could enjoy warmer weather in Derbyshire, than the likes of popular holiday destinations Lanzarote and Gran Canaria, according to forecasts from the Met Office.

Hide AdLow pressure systems and high winds have caused weather to be cloudy and wet so far this week.
However temperatures are set to heat up in Derbyshire tomorrow with sunshine forecast and highs of 25°C.
While there still might be some cloud cover in the morning on Thursday, July 30, sunny intervals are predicted to break out later in the afternoon.

Hide AdTemperatures will climb up to a sweltering 30°C in Derbyshire on Friday when the brief burst of hot weather hits.
Dry, sunny weather is forecast for July, 31 with lows of just 15°C as people in the region see summer weather return.
The Met Office warned people about the short heatwave in a tweet.
They said: “It will go from feeling more like autumn to summer this week, then back again over the weekend.”

Unfortunately the hot weather is not set to last, temperatures are expected to rapidly drop back down over the weekend.
On Saturday, August 1 it is forecast to be sunny but with highs of just 21°C.
The cooler weather will continue through to Sunday of 20°C.
