Derbyshire police release picture in bid to identify dead cyclist
The collision happened on the southbound carriageway of the A61 at about 3.20pm, on Thursday, July 31, and involved a Citroen C3.
But despite repeated appeals for potential relatives, friends and work colleagues to come forward to help identify the fatal crash casualty his identity still remains a mystery.

Hide AdThe dead man is described as white, 55 to 65-years-old, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 8ins tall with short, light brown hair.
He had no tattoos but had a small scar to his abdomen. He was wearing black Lycra shorts and red cycling shoes and was riding a black and yellow Carrera TDF bicycle.
The cyclist suffered serious head injuries and was taken by air ambulance to Northern General Hospital, in Sheffield, where he later died.
He was also wearing a white t-shirt which said ‘Barnsley Metrodome Triathlon 1990’ and there was a sticker on the back of his helmet that said ‘Friar Tuck Triathlon 2002’, the race number was 100.

Hide AdPolice believe this suggests he may have been active in taking part in triathlons at some point.
Anyone with information on the identity of the man should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting incident 451 of July 31.
A picture of the brand of bike he was riding and a picture of the helmet and shoes that he was wearing are also being released in the hope that someone will know who he is.
