Visitors told to stay away from popular Peak District spot due to anti-social behaviour

Officers from Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit said yesterday, Wednesday, June 24: “Chatsworth has been really busy today. Parking issues, anti-social behaviour and groups squabbling amongst themselves.
“Officers remain there and we would encourage you not to attend this evening.”

Hide AdPolice added that a number of drivers caught parked dangerously beside solid white lines had been fined £100 and would get three points added to their licence.
Chatsworth House is closed but the gardens are open for pre-booked visits only.
A statement on the estate’s website says: “Access to the garden and car parks at Chatsworth and Calton Lees is only possible with a pre-booked ticket.
“We ask that all visitors respect our local communities, staff and each other, and only travel to the area if you have booked a ticket.”
