Canal trust members are '˜unsung heroes'
A nationwide campaign by leading pork pie manufacturer Pork Farms, giving recognition to every day heroes in the community, is back for another year after a successful 2015.
Following more than 100 nominations, Pork Farms has now announced that the Chesterfield Canal Trust volunteers – nominated by their friend, Ruth Tesdale for their work on the canal’s restoration – is of the lucky 25 finalists to be showcased across social media until the end of June in a bid to win a surprise Pop Up Party.

Hide AdRuth said: “All of the volunteers for the Chesterfield Canal Trust work hard for the canal restoration and I can think of no one else who is more deserving of a reward such as a surprise party.”
Head of markets at Pork Farms Kim Burgess, said: “We are thrilled to announce our top 25 after receiving some truly humbling and well-deserved nominations.”
The five winning parties will be visited in their local area as part of a week-long tour around the UK from July 4 to 8, and each will receive a full party.
